FIVE DAYS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
MM+M invites members of the greater healthcare community to join us for the second annual MM+M Move Together event, scheduled for February 8-12, 2021. In the weeks leading up to the event, we want you to #WarmUpForMoveTogether by showing us how you're getting ready for the challenge.
As with the first MM+M Move Together, held last August, this five-day challenge will also highlight the importance of tending to one’s physical well-being. However, this second event will also shine a light on mental and emotional health, crucial components of overall well-being during the COVID-19 era. During the event, MM+M Move Together participants will be asked to track their activities and, collectively, virtually circle the country, totaling 2 million footprints — alongside the entire MM+M community. Participants can move together around the US by donating time, money, or a commitment to fitness. We are encouraging our community to take a collective ‘pause’ and commit to doing good for themselves or for others for one week in February. You can also join in simply by donating.
For each "do good for you" and "do good for others" activity you accomplish, you will earn a certain amount of points. MM+M will match those points to a dollar amount up to $5,000, which will be donated to our beneficiary partner, World Central Kitchen, to help them continue their efforts toward feeding families in need.
For those who are planning to do activities together in-person, we encourage you to maintain a safe social distance and to wear masks when you are taking part in the challenge. We encourage everyone to do this challenge with their health and safety in mind.
IT's time to do good for you + do good for others
This year we're doing things a little differently. Earn points by doing good for you + doing good for others. How do you do that you ask? Don't worry we have everything covered.
All activities outside of "outdoor fitness" must be logged manually for you to earn points. Outdoor fitness points can be generated through your fitness device or inputted manually as well.
Please Read: Points will only count during the week of the event, February 8 - 12. Your "warm-up" points or any activities that you have accumulated prior to the event will reset to zero once the event begins.

(I.E. swimming, kickboxing, HIIT, crossfit, tennis)

+ SELF CARE ACTIVITIES +
(I.E. schedule a wellness screening/HCP appointment, quit smoking, drink 60 fl oz water )
= 150 points
+ MENTAL HEALTH ACTIVITIES +
(I.E. Meditation, yoga, acupuncture/massage, achieved 8 hours OF sleep, finished a book)
= 75 points
+ TRYING A NEW ACTIVITY +
(I.E. enroll in an online education class, taking up a new hobby)
= 50 points
+ DO GOOD FOR OTHERS +
+ Donate time to a charity 30 minutes +
(I.E. supporting a local fundraiser, VOLUNTEER AT A LOCAL SENIOR CARE FACILITY)
= 500 POINTS
+ Donate food to a CAUSE +
(I.e. donate food to a local foodbank, donate money to a foundation that provides food for those in need)
= 250 points
+ Donate clothing +
(I.E. Donate to a shelter, a disaster relief foundation or at a local clothing drop off bin)
= 250 points
+ Check-in on a friend and/or neighbor +
= 100 points
ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?
We want you to have fun while doing good! To add more excitement to this event, MM+M will be holding some friendly competitions before and during the week of the event.
There will be individual and team competitions for the highest activity points and footprints. Stay tuned as we announce more details in the upcoming weeks. Yes there will be prizes!

In the weeks leading up to the event, MM+M invites participants to #WarmUpForMoveTogether. We want you to share your training highlights and cheer us — and each other — on as we get active for a good cause. The MM+M Move Together site will showcase trainers, influencers and health experts from our own community, who will share a full slate of fitness and wellness tips as well as inspiring ideas on ways of giving back.
Organizations can team up with MM+M on Move Together as a participant, cheerleader, coach, mentor, influencer or sponsor.

For every activity you log, MM+M will donate one dollar up to $5000 to World Central Kitchen*, to help feed families in need who've been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. With traditional safety nets like school feeding programs, city services, and food banks struggling to meet basic needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the country’s hospital workers stretched thinner than ever before, WCK is working across America to confront this crisis on two fronts: they're paying small, local restaurants to cook delicious, fresh meals to nourish their neighbors, keeping the restaurants' teams working and vulnerable communities fed.
